My wife and I had a pleasant stay at Living Hotel am Deutschen Museum during our journey from Amsterdam to Venice. The hotel's convenient location near the main Munich train station made it an ideal choice. Nestled within a charming park with beautiful gardens, it offered easy access to local restaurants. Although our room was simple, the cleanliness and essential amenities like a good shower and tea/coffee facilities exceeded my expectations for the price. The receptionist warmly greeted us upon arrival and added a thoughtful touch to our 40th wedding anniversary trip with drinks and local jam. Unfortunately we were not able to take breakfast as we had a very early train departure but I am sure it would have been nice. We would gladly recommend this hotel for its cleanliness, well-equipped rooms, and friendly service. It may be basic, but it certainly meets the needs and we would happily stay there again.

I know this hotel since I lived in this place in one of the apartments/rooms for several months. Every room has a kitchen and a balcony. Good space for one. Acceptable for two. Location is great. I always stay in the area when I am in Munich since S-bahn station Rosenheimerplatz is few minutes walk from hotel. East and Main train stations are close by S-bahn and number S1 and S8 (faster option - ca. 30 min) are connected to the airport. City center is 15-20 min by foot or 2 stations by subway. Breakfast is buffet and really good. Stuff is very friendly. Prices are somewhere in the middle in comparison to few other hotels around (Motel One, Holiday Inn, Novotel ...).

My sister got sick and needed medical assistance. Brian from the front desk was tireless, he called the emergency services, the hospital and tried to help in any way he could. Sadly we could not get any assistance even going to the ER. Do not get sick in Germany even with insurance, the system is broken . We got turned down in the ER I was in shock. Be aware that pharmacies close at 6 pm. There are very few 24 hours pharmacies, bring your onw meds. I want to add that the restaurant staff was very helpful also, modified the meal for my sister we are very grateful.

Not a huge room but well laid out . Liked all the tables to put stuff. appreciated having a kitchenette where we could have a light breakfast or leftover . Bathroom much bigger than pricier places we stayed at . Shower big enough for two while in our Salzburg hotel it was small and didn’t have a door! 15-20 minute walk into old town . Supermarkets close by ( one was 3 minutes away) as well as a good Italian restaurants. complimentary beer and water in minibar! very reasonably priced same day laundry service which one of our party needed

The room was exactly as shown in the photos on the website. It was large, with a good writing or study desk. The kitchenette was very good, with 2 hotplates and a sink, with a separate electric kettle. The fridge was a good size and was built in underneath the stove. The hotel is only a 20 minute walk to Central Munich and Marien-Platz, and a 20 minute walk to the Ostbahnhof. The hotel is being renovated but it isn't a problem as work does not seem to start before 0830 and finishes by 1600 during the week, and nothing on the weekends.
